Post Thanksgiving and Day After Thanksgiving

So, I'm indifferent to how I responded to Thanksgiving. Thursday morning I woke up and worked out and earned 9 activity points. That gave me a total of 16 activity points to go into the Tgiving dinner with plus my 49 weeklies PLUS I only had a pack of oatmeal that day. I ate two small plates and then played about an hour of flag football in the park with the family. I ate a small piece of pie and a few chocolate cracker goodies my cousins made. I never once felt full or like I over did it. However, today was a different story. I woke up, earned my 9 activity points (I run 30 minutes and walk 20 minutes) but things started to go down hill after lunch. I ate like 20 twizzlers, like 4 cookes, multi grain chips and salsa and a couple brownies. I'm disappointed in myself more today than yesterday but I'm not gonna eat for the rest of the night (I really shouldn't be hungry any time soon) and continue to workout tomorrow and Sunday & pray pray pray that I have a loss for my weigh in on Monday. I'll be really upset if I gain only because I had one bad day but I've been working out like crazy and J is supposedly flying in next week to see me so I want to feel confident when he comes in. Ok, just wanted to make a quick update to show all my readers that I am and will stick to this blog even if it is annoying, stupid posts such as this one!

Feelin' Good

Today was my last day of class before the start of the Thanksgiving holiday. Normally, I would have already been on my way to New Orleans to spend as much family time as possible but I have to wait until Thursday morning because my brother is flying into Baton Rouge tomorrow night at 11:45ish from school (he goes to West Point in New York). So, I have the house to myself since Amelia (my roomate) already left to go home. I watched a few episodes of True Life and I Use to Be Fat on MTV which totally inspired me to go workout at 9:00 at night...thank gosh the Rec was open on campus. I earned 6 activity points which I'm super pumped about because I wasn't really in the mood in the first place plus the weather is just super grimey. Anyway, I'm back home watching Chelsea Settles on MTV and I absolutely LOVE this show! It's about a plus size girl trying to make it in Los Angeles/follow her dreams yadda yadda yadda...BUT, what I love about this show is that while she's trying to lose weight, the show is actually focused more around her loving herself for who she is and getting down to the root of her weight issues and from there, trying to get healthy. She's inspiring and totes adorbs and I think she and Devon (I think that's his name) are starting to have sparks, eeek!! I just love love and you know what else I love? Pomegranates! They are delcious and in season so go get one now!

Tomorrow's Agenda:
  • Workout (at least 1 hour)
  • Clean bedroom/kitchen/living room/bathroom (for the arrival of brother and his gf)
  • Work on portfolios for English

Recommitted

I've been doing Weight Watchers on and off for months now but I always manage to fall of the wagon, so today I decided to recommitt myself today. I'm not going to go into detail about what I ate throughout the day because I'm boring and poor but I will tell you that I stayed within my points and am feeling satisfied. I also went and walked the lakes near campus (about 4 miles) with a good friend of mine from high school so that was some well deserved activity points that I earned. I'm going to try my hardest to rack up as many activity points as I can because I'm having severe anxiety regarding Thanksgiving. I really don't want to overdo it. I want to indulge in delicious (and  free) food, but like a normal person! I have no idea what my grandmother will be cooking, but she's always been pretty good about having a variety of vegetables and salad so I'm not too worried. Anyway, I'm starting to bore myself so I can't even imagine how you're feeling, haha.

Welcome

Hi ya'll! I'm really excited to start this blog and it's been a long time coming. I'm mainly focusing it around my decision to do Weight Watchers and the journey that I will be embarking on. I'm a Junior at Louisiana State University--Geaux Tigers--and I love being from the South. Aside from wanting to start a healthy lifestyle, I also want to work on the other aspects of my life that will help me transition into the adult I hope to be one day. That being said, you'll probably hear me rambling on about school, money (or lack there of), friends, family and of course my most favorite topic, boys (...or lack there of)! So, I hope you all enjoy what this blog has to offer; whether it be for laughs or just to pass the time, I hope you benefit in some way.
